I live in an older terraced house and need five standard and one wooden bay window plus two doors stripped and repainted (externally.)
However there are a couple of problems in that the bay window has an area that needs patching due to rotten wood (it's something that's been done on several previous occasions so hopefully can be done again) and the doors will need something taken off of them as they stick badly during the winter months.
Can a painter and decorator make such repairs or should I be looking for a general handyman to undertake such work?
My mother was alive when the windows were done previously and I don't know what sort of tradesman she got to do the job and as I'm on my own now I'm not quite sure whom I should be approaching this time around.
Also just as a guide if it is a straight forward job can anyone give me a rough idea of the price using a good quality paint and primer..I live in the Southampton area so wouldn't expect such high rates as say for London.
