Painting advice - Walls or Skirting board to start with?

Posted by Amar Nayak, on
I am painting my house for the first time (refurbishment)... have a wood skirting board all around the house where the walls meet the floor. My question is should I paint the walls first or the skirting board?

Hi, you can start with the celing then the walls after the skirting board preparation . Painting first the skirting board allow time to dry , then cover the skirting board with masking tape. Take off the masking when you have finished the celing and walls. You will have a straight line between walls and skirting board. Advice : when you painting the skirting make sure you Hoover first.
