How do I contact Rated People to justify my lead credit requests are g

Posted by Ola Akingbade, on
1. I am a newly registered tradesman with rated people. So I have zero ratings at the moment. I bought a lead at a time and get in touch with the owners of the lead immediately by email and phone call/text. But each time, the owner would say the job is been given to another person or will not reply or it will be impossible to contact the job owner. Because I am in need of a job to do, I would look for another lead and buy as soon as I get a negative reply from the last lead. I have a build-up of lead credit request due to the fact that I could not make requests for lead credit at the initial stage because I have no rating and because I do not have a profile picture. I was able to request for lead credit about 4 days ago (which was after I loaded my profile picture). But I had 4 lead credit request declined and 4 approved out of 8 lead credit requested on same day. The reason Rated People gave for rejecting my lead credit request is quoted below, “You are receiving this email because the number of leads you have requested credit for exceeds what we assess is normal for your trade and area”. How do I contact Rated People to justify myself in these cases. Because most of these leads owner say they had given the job to another tradesman even though the lead shows I am the only tradesman that bought the lead. Or that the job is being delayed even though the job timing was urgent on the description.

Hi Ola, Chris' advice rings true here. The only thing I'd add is that it's great you've added the profile photo - that helps hugely with winning work. I'd also recommend that you start off buying smaller jobs until you have a few ratings under your belt and also request a rating for any job you complete. We have tips on building up trust in your business which will help you below: ratedpeople(dot)com/c/tradespeople/how-to-build-up-trust-in-your-business Once you've established trust, you've done the hard work when it comes to securing a job. I hope the tips help. Thanks, Natalie Ask an expert team

You sometimes get this when customers either aren't serious about finding a tradesman or change their mind. As you say it's not your fault your requesting credit it's just one of them things it looks bad you requesting a refund. Things should settle though and when you start to find work and get the odd occasion when you request a refund I'm sure you will be successful
