Painting newly skimmed walls

Posted by Andrea Brown, on
I’ve just had my walls skimmed. The plaster is totally dry. In my haste I went ahead and started to paint white Matt emulsion straight onto wall without diluting it first. Will this cause me problems when I go to paint my top colour coat which is also a Matt emulsion. Your advice would be most helpful

Hi Andrea. You shouldn’t have any problems with not diluting the paint. I often do this method, so that the paint doesn’t land on the floor/ dustsheets. I always recommend using trade paints like Crown or dulux. The coverage, even for the first coat is always better. Hope this is a help. Jason In Colour Design Decorators
