Can you remove lino (vinyl) in kitchen and replace with new lino.

I have the lino ready, I measured the kitchen and have the lino ready and spray glue.
the kitchen may need a little clean before putting the new lino. The floor is slightly uneven as it is an old house, however, it is fine I am just making look decent. I would like the walls painted I have the paint ready.
