What I would do is give them a sanding by hand light rub down that all needed so gives the paint a key for undercoat /gloss. Just fine sandpaper and dust off any dust before painting
Preping textured hollow doors for painting

I have these textured internal panel doors which thousands of people must have. I previously painted them in white Gloss. Now want to prepare them for painting again but can't use a mouse sander on them because of the grain. I can't find any help on the internet as to how to prepare the surface before painting. Hoping you can advise. John
