Can we put a side door in concrete paneled garage(if that makes sense)

We have a garage which is made up of "concrete panels" if that makes sense, i'm sure theres a proper name.... anyway we want to use the garage as a workshop, for painting furniture etc. we are getting quotes for the roof (as thats asbestos) but would like a side entrance to go in rather than having to use the up n over garage door. We don't put the car in there...ever so would only ever use the side door straight into the garden then and at least when its raining we won't get soaked having to open the big door. Any advice would be great. thanks
