Sharon, You need to check the pressure of water coming from the Stop Cock if it is low at this point then probably just needs Stop Cock changing. If you have sufficient pressure from Stop Cock then could be you have Old Iron Pipes that need replacing. In either case you need to get a plumber in to check these and then you can get a quote for work required, but they will charge for testing water pressure from Stop Cock.
