SITE QUEREY

Posted by shawn byrne, on
Hi I have been a tradesman on here for roughly three years now and I think im entitled to have a little moan. Firstly I think this site needs a tradesman forum and does any one else notice a job you have purchased gets reposted by the client under another job description often with the advice you have given them and before you have even estimated for the works, so your competition has doubled or even trebled also im noticing some of the same job leads, not rated peoples fault are advertised on two or three other websites meaning you go up against 10- 12 tradesman. right that's it had my moan for the day cheers shawn slbbrickwork

Good morning Shawn We are aware that occasionally people do post job with us and other websites and as you know there is very little we can do about that. I think a forum for Tradesman is a fantastic idea that we have been talking about this for some time. It would give you a place to voice your thoughts and ideas and give us a real insight to what our Tradesman want and need, so fingers crossed this will happen. On the matter of homeowners re-posting jobs, we do provide the Homeowner the opportunity to 'update a job' and any job that you have not been given the chance to quoted on will be refunded. I hope this helps Shawn and you are more than welcome to have a little moan. If you would like to contact me directly then please feel free. My email address is below. Thanks for taking the time Regards Adam Walker [email protected]

Hi shawn i agree with you a forum would be great for us to air our views and in response to what you said about people posting on multiple sites what really annoys me is when customers post more than once on this site for example today a customer posted the same job four times so making 12 possible bidders i think rated people should have a system in place to prevent multiple postings they say they check every job well this makes me wonder. Hi Adam It's not the client updating the job it's the client reposting the job Under a different title so rated is selling the same job lead again when we are promised A max of three tradesman to one job lead when it's really under those conditions it could Be six or nine All the best Shawn

Hey Shawn, I too have been here for about three years , it was great to start with, the best in fact, but slowly the site has been 'improved' but only to rated people 's advantage! I could have a long moan about it too but you know the story! Kinda relying on old customers for work these days,

What would you like to do now?
