Brickwork sealant

Posted by Josh Mcrandal, on
The wall behind my shower tiles is damp, which is causing the grout to wash away. I don't think its the shower leaking as I have other areas in my house where the plaster has started bubbling when we have excessive rain. The house is an 95 year old two bed terrace, so there's no cavity in the walls (just plaster onto the brickwork). I just need to have someone to look at the problem and carryout any repairs. I suspect the outside of the house will need some kind of repointing or weather sealant.

To avoid disappointment with 'cures' , employ a CSRT surveyor to give a correct assessment of the problem then employ a waterproofing contractor to carry out the work .
