Roof needs to be refelted due to storm damage

Hi William. The problem with old felt roofs is you can only do a patch up job unless you remove the plywood roof. As mentioned by another rated people expert you may be better overlaying with a tong and groove Plywood osb board and the use a resin roof Sytem the good thing about these is the are seem less and as mentioned you will get a 25 year guarantee. Hi William, to start with you haven't stated what type of roof it is. I'm presuming its a garage or shed roof, as if it was part of the house the felt would be a touch on felt. If you could be more specific, I'm sure you would get a professional to give you a more helpful solution good luck

The old felt needs to be taken off and fresh stuff put on with the correct joins, quite straight forward for a roofer or handyman. An alternative is to have a fibreglass roof put on, they can be guaranteed for 25 years and beyond! If you require the work to be carried out by a professional tradesman you can post it for free in the job section on the home page to get some quotes. Hope this helps Jan South Coast Boilers
