I need a wooden strip putting on my ceiling to hang the curtain rail from, who would be the best tradesman for this

You will need to locate the joists if your hanging from the ceiling, normally you would hang from above the window, a good diy person should be able to do this

Hi James , it's a job for a joiner as you will need the batten securing to the ceiling joists with good fixings to carry the weight of your curtains , if you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact me , thanks Andy

Hi James how are you.this would be a job for a joiner it sounds like a small job just needs screwing ro joist if not can use plaster board fixings just be care full of any cables if you haven't any one in mind i could call and fit for you I'm in derby Hope this helps you

You would really just need a property maintenance person just care to be taken when drilling to the ceiling in case on hidden pipes or cables, hope this helps, Tim
