Get a steamer, or sponge and hot water. score the paper with a sharp blade in a one foot square criss cross pattern. steam or soak till it starts to bubble or fall. scrape away with scraper. hope this helps, mike

wallpaper stripper is a good way if you dont have one the only other way is soak old paper and give it five mins to soak in soak again then remove some times you may have scrach the wallpaper with a scraper
Get or hire a steamer and buy a good quality scrapper . (a cheap one will bend and go out of shape and is a false economy) Make sure you really soak the paper first but be very careful not to get electrical sockets wet. Cover these and tape over before steaming anywhere near. If you have a vinyl paper to remove you will probably be able to peel off the top layer almost whole , THEN use the steamer .

Wet the area up 1st, then use a wallpaper steeamer.also a good scraper, not a filling knife
