Chubb lock not aligning with the opening, difficult to shut in winter.

I have a problem locking Chubb on my front door in the winter. The barrel will not align with casement is the door is some what bowed. This is only an issue in the winter. Any idea on how to remedy, ideally I would like to keep door as it is Victorian original.
