Damp on the wooden shed roof

Posted by Paul Colhoun, on
The felt on the wooden shed roof ripped off and I could see that the bottom part of the wooden roof is damp and this has gone through to the inside. What do I need to do in this situation, I don't know if the roof needs replacing or if it can be repaired?

In most cases all you need to do is put new felt on . Ever if wet rot has started , it will die as soon as ther is no more water entry .

Hi Paul Just replace the felt it's available in rolls from most DIY stores. Just take note how the old felt is put on when you take it off and then replace with the new felt the same way. Once you have done this the wood will dry out. Regards Martin
