As the others have said, do not cut, drill or disturb asbestos. Regards Andrew
Hi Lala, In the short term you can patch it up but DO NOT drill or cut it in anyway. B&Q stock a self adhesive flashing which you can put over the cracks, then give a coat of tar or bitumin. Make sure it is completely dry before you do this. In the long term though, you do need to replace the roof, and the sooner the better. Asbestos, even though very low grade, is never anything but trouble- to work with, dispose of, whatever, get rid of it as soon as is practical for you. I hope this helps, and good luck! Hi Lala I would advice not to touch asbestos you can cover it ( not screwing in to ) for ptime being but you need to find local asbestos removal company I am affraid Best regards Rafal
