Drilling

Tried to put up a roller blind in a Window recess. Used a hss drill bit for what I think is a metal lintel. Can not drill through it. Please can you help.

Hi Colin Did you try masonry drill? It could be concrete underneath so HSS metal drill won't go through. Regards Rafal

Using the window frames would be easiest , but if must be into metal lintel use a good quality steel (hss) bit, try drilling small hole 1st eg 3or 4mm Hope this helps

Hi Colin It maybe a concrete lintel so hss drill will not work try a masonry drill bit or most blind brackets allow you to fix to the window frame, this will be much easier. Kind regards Ian
