Why didn't we think of that ?

Posted by Mrs Arcastic, on
Hello Natalie Thanks for your answer clearing everything up as I thought we were getting done in the “tradesmans” for a moment... but it actually turns out your just trying to help us . I think the request a call back feature is a great idea and I’m glad you listened to all the feedback from your customer survey demanding that you get rid of the “ get your money back for time wasting leads button”...it was a real pain to be honest.. I mean why bother spending all that time and effort clicking a button to get your time wasted lead refunded when you can click another one that gets RP to send an automated email to the client asking them to call us ! Genius ! I reckon that will work because if they don't respond to us then they definitely will to you. Maybe with all that extra money you are now making you could add a " go round the customers house and educate them in the etiquette of using the Rated People site and not wasting tradesmans time and money button ? " That would be awesome too.... I will definitely be taking your advice on buying leads , I had bought about 10 leads this year with all but two being a waste of time but if I buy even more leads then I should be able to make x 20 of my money back ? Even quoting against all the bob a job tradesman on here ? You guys really are great, and so clever to be thinking of these things, and all at all great time and cost to yourselves..

I absolutely agree, and cannot believe that any customer survey said that we wanted to get rid of the "refund for useless leads"? I spent over £200 on leads the other day of which not one was genuine. One hadn't bought the house yet and just wanted a clue over the phone to prices IF he decided to buy. One had changed their mind, and another said they had already decided on another builder and the last one never answered. A total waste of money, we pay a membership fee for akin so if a lead is false we should get a refund. End of.

The representatives of Rated need to get their heads out of the sand rather than keep towing the company line of the changes are for the better ( jobs are no cheaper, lots still hardly have any details and no refunds anymore), when really it's little more than THEFT.You are not supplying what you have been paid for, simple as that! The complaints aren't going to go away, so sort this situation out and bring a bit of respectability back to your company or have you got no morals. I would NEVER treat my customers the way you treat yours or are you that far removed that you don't even know you are doing something wrong!

What makes me laugh is RP dont even set the standards by calling the tradesman back let alone the customer. Also the job leads. You pay an amount for the job ,however the same job will be more to buy in another area. Wrong Now RP have come up with a brilliant idea of introducing a Call centre. Mad The expert panel not a bad idea, however bob a jobs are asking how to do jobs on the expert panel. Cut out the expert panel full stop. BRING BACK THE DODGY LEAD REFUNDS

Do I detect a hint of sarcasm here ? I will be out of here soon enough and leave the work to the "bob a job" tradesman. Just can't compete with them. All the time this continues RP is earning a name for itself as the place to go to get a cheap job. Seen lot's of blogs and threads out there slating this site and it's tradesmen for poor work, and I don't want to be tarred with that brush..

So what happens when you buy a lead lets say for a full heating system under 4k for £40 then you call the customer and they say no I don't want a quote as the guy that came today and give me a quote is doing the job you have just wasted £40 I think rated people need to restart the report a lead as a call back will do nothing in this situation

Hi Tradesmen I think we should all stop buying leads for a week or a month, lets show them where there money comes from and see what happens. What do you all say? Ian
