Plants in tubs

Posted by Frank Clegg, on
Is it possible to grow pyracantha in a tub.

philip desmond

Hello Frank, Yes but beware that they do tend to spread so will need pruning, also keeping the top growth in proportion to the amount of roots. It might be best to move up in size gradually until the final container size is reached. As the plant fills the container keep an eye on water and feeding. Seasonally top dress the surface with and inch of new compost. Regards, Phil

Hi Frank They tend to grow quite tall and wide so it may be difficult but you can pot pretty much anything if you want to :) Hope this helps Mark Surrey Hills Landscaping
