I would like to mount an acrylic mirror sheet (probably 4mm thick) to a wall in my home.
I have seen advice to fix the sheet to plywood or MDF first to avoid visual distortion, although these were on websites to mount them in a horse's stable.
Do I still need to fix it to plywood if it's going in the wall in my home or can I screw it straight onto my wall?
I would imagine my wall is very flat - it's a new build property only 5 years old.
I have looked into having proper mirrors (it's for a home gym) but I worry that it's just an internal wall with no structure and that an 8 x 4 ft mirror would be too heavy for an internal wall?!
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
