Old Building Renovation

Posted by Roz Whitefield, on
I have bought an old property with solid floors, solid walls, and lots of work to do - In which order do I tackle the following jobs? Plastering/bricking up fire places which have been ripped out, putting up ceiling boards, electrical wiring which has been 1/2 renewed, fitting gas central heating, fitting a kitchen, lining/insulating the floor & walls (1/2 done). I shall need to save up & do one job at a time, and I know gas & electrical jobs need professionals - where should I start? Thanks, Roz.

Hi Roz start with any structural work, then the electrics and 1st fix plumbing and then insulate floors and walls. Plasterboard and skim walls and then get the kitchen fitted along with any other 2nd fix carpentry (doors, skirting, architrave etc). Ed
