Hi Alexis Depends what trade it is. Electricians can be reg to a number of different bodies ie NICEIC/NAPIT although there is NO requirement to do so. These companies charge the electricians for this service and they have a sample of their work checked on an annual basis to check they are still meeting the standard.I think pluming used to be Corgi but its now Gas Safe. Don't know about other trades. You are always better to use one of these guys,they may charge slightly more but worth it in the long run Thanks Russ
