I want a loose screw..

Posted by Michael Tweed, on
I am trying to replace hinges on a fridge. The screws on the old hinge are so tight they can't be untightened by hand (there is a starhead notch on the screw), and using a spanner on the nut around the screw isn't possible for all of them, as they are set into the fridge. Any ideas of how to untighten them? Thanks!!

Mike, try the ol wd40 or modern equivalent, using the proper screwdriver with a long shaft and large hand grip helps ( some screwdriver's have a hole to put a pry bar through for leverage or hex shaft to get the spanner on) all that fails then get a cheap impact driver whether it be a modern battery one or the older hit with a hammer type.
