Hi Clare a standard door closer should do the job, choose a good quality brand e.g Briton with adjustable power and latch function, expect to pay between £50-£100 for the closer. Fitting is very simple approximately 1/2 hour, don't see any reason why you would want to connect it to the fire alarm. Ed
