Hi Allison if you are going to have the hatch enlarged and a ladder fitted I would advise using a "Fakro" all in one ladder and hatch by far the best type I have fitted, approximately £250-£300 supply and fit. As for the loft boarding it depends on the area and whether it needs counter battening to provide a flat area for the boards to sit on above the loft insulation. Ed
