Hi Sarah a carpenter would do this for you, I would recommend the "Fakro" brand of hatches with built in wooden ladder they are by far the best I have fitted and good value too. Ed
Loft ladder installation

I need a drop down loft ladder installed.
I probably need a new loft hatch as well as currently to access the loft I have to lift the whole loft hatch up into the loft.
What type of tradesman would do this?
Is it a carpenter / joiner?
I couldn't see an appropriate category to allow me to post my job.

Hi Sarah A carpenter should be able to cope with this, and I am sure he could find a plasterer to finish the small amount of plastering that may need completing, maybe he may do it himself. Jc
