Fixing Curtain Hold Backs to wall

How to fix curtain hold backs to a hollow wall in a new house? The previous ones have fallen out!

Hi Lynda, The best plasterboard fixings for heavy loads are the metal spring toggles or the gravity toggles and for medium loads you can use the metal self-drill plasterboard fixings. If the curtains are really heavy, I'd recommend you to do a cut out in the ceiling (somewhere in the middle) and slip in through that cut out a wooden batten or even two (one for the left hand side and another one for the right hand side) in which you will fix the curtain's brackets with wood screws. Hope this helps, Cornelius Cretu
