Log cabin roof

How do i fit celotex internally to a log cabin roof, should the celotex be touching the roof or do I need a gap with some form of membrane ? once up I will be covering with tongue and grove boards

make sure the roof is sound and not leaking, fix building paper (plastic sweats) fix celotex then board

You would need to leave an air gap 50mm minimum and also make provision for air flow over this gap to prevent condensation building up. You could use a vapour barrier below the insulation, good ventilation within this space is the most important thing
