Replace flooring and plasterboard

Posted by Dirk Roeleveld, on
I've removed my bath and discovered the hardboard floorboard underneath is rotten, as well as the plasterboard on the side of the bath. So I need the hardboard flooring replaced in my bathroom, and also the plasterboard replaced. The area of concern is the floor under neath the bath and the wall to the side of the bath. I've already removed the bath and the previous flooring. What sort of tradesman do I need?

joiner, if the main floorboards under the bath are ok where the bath fits no need to cover, the plaster board at side of bath needs to be replaced with something called aqua board i think its called its a water repellent board made for wet rooms, showers etc can be plastered over and then tile it to keep water off the wall, and dont forget to seal around bath wih silicone, when you seal the bath make sure bath edge is dry, fill bath with water seal around bath and leave overnight to dry it will be sealed silicone is flexible so slight movemet on bath will notbreak the seal
