The RCD unit in my campervan makes a clicking noise when it is switched on and the test button does not work. I have used a test plug and it indicates that all is ok. Is the unit US ?

Hi Norman, If the RCD's test button doesn't work it means that the RCD failed the functional test so it needs replacing. The socket tester only shows you if there is presence of voltage in the sockets and if there is incorrect polarity or loose wires inside the sockets. Regards,
