Our exterior walls are old Yorkshire stone, that have had a damp proofing treatment at some point in the last 20 years. Where the wide toilet waste pipe comes through the wall from the family bathroom, the stonework is spalling. Is this likely to be due to the plumbing or the damp proofing, and who would be the most appropriate trade to fix this?
