If its a stud wall, ie hollow with just a plaster facia, use driva plaster fixings, you can buy them loose, should cost you about 20 pence each
Which Plasterboard fixing to use?

I am putting up a coat hook rail, that has 6 hooks on the main wodden piece. I was wondering for plasterboard, what type of wall plug type should i use for this?

you mat need to put something like 4 inch screws through to fix to bricwork behind but dont tighten up too much or you can crack the plasterboard
