Posted by Hazel Rose, on
I have had no lift for the last6 Months, and have to. Climb up 2 spiral flights to get to my flat. Should I pay service chorges, when I am not getting proper service?

Its never a good idea to stop paying service charges, before you know it bailiffs are knocking on your door Speak to your landlord and if he still doesnt fix, write an email stating you are paying your service charges but will be seeking to recover the monies for any services not provided, im not sure whether a lift falls under provision of services when its only 2 flights of stairs, you will need to check your tenancy agreement to see if it does Hope this helps
