Hi Mark, Best practice is to get a written quote - as outlined in our homeowner checklist. I'd have a read of it (particularly 'The contract' section for quoting) and follow the advice there: ratedpeople(dot)com/c/homeowner-checklist. If you can't get the written quote, we would recommend continuing your search for a different tradesperson.
