Tracing a builder

I have a builder but he only quotes on the phone. He is loathe to put anything in writing. Would he be traceable via your system if anything goes wrong?

Hi Mark, Best practice is to get a written quote - as outlined in our homeowner checklist. I'd have a read of it (particularly 'The contract' section for quoting) and follow the advice there: ratedpeople(dot)com/c/homeowner-checklist. If you can't get the written quote, we would recommend continuing your search for a different tradesperson.
