Racism

Posted by Adrian-Ionel Ciuclea, on
Is racism legal? If the lady cancel the appointment straight away after we spoken at the phone, because she heard my accent, is it normal that rated people refuse my credit lead request? Is it ok to encourage the racism by paying peoples to do it? Well I am a tradesman and it happened to me....looks like Rated People legalises the racism. This is very low.... "Dear Rated People"...would you like to answer to me if this is ok?

Hi Adrian-Ionel, The views and opinions of a homeowner that has posted a job on our service are in no way shared with ours, nor do we tolerate racism. We welcome any tradesperson or homeowner to use our service regardless to gender, race or cultural background. If a lead has been declined, we would have emailed you with the reasons why. If you are unhappy with this, feel free to email support(at)ratedpeople.com and our customer care team will look in to this for you. Thanks, Josh Ask an expert team

Where are you from ? I can't see it was for that reason unless the customer said something on the phone to you ?

Unfortunately it would be hard to prove it was because of your accent. If the customer did not give you a chance to quote then rated people should consider your credit refund. Though they do not give them out for every job lead that you are unable to quote on. I have had numerous credits refused but on the other hand have had a good few approved. I highly doubt they are racist or support racism in any way. Nick
