What point should I organise wall mounting tv?

Posted by Robert Clarke, on
I'm currently renovating the downstairs of my house, all our walls are stripped and we are at a spoint where we are ready to skim / plaster. I want to wall mount our TV and hide all cabling behind the wall. The area we are putting the TV is above the original brick fire place. Should we skim/plaster the walls before we start installing the wall mount brackets and feeding cabling through the wall. Or should we plaster first then wall mount the tv and drill into the plaster/brick to install cables? Also what type of trades person would carry this work out?

We need to know if the fire place is still being used as a fire place If so I would not recommend any wire going through the wall unless you are having a false wall built. Thanks Steve HBF Services
