Wood stove piping

Posted by Mark Favor, on
I am replacing the piping on a small wood stove in a cabin. It comes out of the stove venting into single walled wood stove pipe. The pipe travels up about 3 feet and turn 45 right then 45 up into another 2 feet of single walled pipe. At this point it couples to double walled pipe to exit the building through the roof and up to the chimney cap. My problem is I can only find double walled pipe that describes itself as pellet stove pipe; Is this pipe, being approximately 5 feet from the heat source safe to use?
