I have had problems with an outside drain for the past couple of years. It is constantly blocking with wipes and then toilet waste appears. I have had the water board out over 20 times. they recently decided to do a survey/cctv on the drain outside my house and the next door neighbours drain who stays across the garden in a different block. . They advised me that my neighbours drain was clear and the pipes looked fine. However, they could not CCTV my drain as the camera would not go down due to a blocked trap and as this was a private matter, I have to arrange to have this investigated. I stay in a lower flat with a house above me. Neither me or the house above uses wipes.
We are the only house affected by this. Is it possible there is a blockage further up the pipe. I found the water board very unhelpful and I do not understand the explanation they gave about a trap. etc etc.
Can anyone advise as I am unsure whether this really is something to do with my house or my problem or could it be something to with another problem up the pipes. I don't want to be billed for something that might not have anything to do with me.
