Garage drainage

I have a garage separate from my house but it is semi detached to another garage. Running from left to right across the roof is a drainage channel and in the middle between the 2 garages there is a drain down pipe. It appears that the pipe is between the cavity of the garages. I just noticed that it wasn't draining to well as a lot of water was laying on the roof. What would be the best way to investigate if this is blocked as it is very difficult to get to. Any help would be appreciated.
