We have a slight 'drainy' smell in our kitchen which occurs particularly when we have sent very hot water through to the outlet (e.g from the dishwasher). There is no smell from the outside drain or the kitchen sink, so the smell seems to be associated with the pipework, under the kitchen unit, between the sink and the external outlet. Is there any way of addressing the problem without removing the kitchen units?
