I have a smell of sewage in the house, soil pipe runs in the house

House stinking of sewage. Drain outside seems a little overflowing. Soil pipe is old cast iron, may be faulty. The soil pipe runs in the house and the stench if filling the house. It's only happened since the heavy rain, but I have noticed the smell once or twice when used the loo.
