Does an electrician need to be part P registered to install new internal sockets? If so, how do I check they are qualified?

Hi Darren, Although not absolutely necessary in all circumstances it is still recommended to use an electrician who is registered with a competency scheme (part P, domestic installer) as this gives some assurances of their ability to carry out the work and also their insurances/guarantees which they must hold/provide to be a part the scheme.
