Hi Stephen, depending on the layout of your kitchen and space on your consumer unit you can either supply both items via one 10mm twin and earth cable from a 40A circuit breaker with a 13A fused connection unit connecting the oven or run a 6mm twin and earth for the hob from a 32A circuit breaker and 2.5mm cable from a 16 or 20A circuit breaker for the oven. If you have an existing cooker supply this may be suitable for supplying the hob. Both units should have a local, easily accessible isolating switch. Both units should be hard wired. Electric hobs and ovens have high current demands (up to 42A in this case) and must be wired correctly to avoid the risk of fire or electric shock. Please consider getting quotes from registered electricians for this work.
