I think the sound you heard was from the fuse box but as the oven is not working I would strongly recommend you to look for an electrician to help you out.
Oven stopped working

Kitchen oven stopped working after we heard a sound that followed by power cut. Elecricity is back on from the mains but oven still not working.
What we should do. And how much it will cost us?
