Sheree, Summer houses are used for many different purposes, I have seen some with just one or two lights and some that are akin to small factories. Decide what electrical appliances you will run, say a heater in winter? machinery heavy use or light computer usage. Once decided stick to this- as the length of the cable run and the heavier the supply needed will make a difference to the cable thickness and therefore cost. Secondly it is not a case of just splicing from the back of a socket anymore, as the law requires an RCD current breaker for anything outside, so best to have it from your main board protected by an RCBO/RCD and in steel wired armour cable of the correct rating clipped to the fence, and a sub board. Do not have any un registered electrician but one which is Part P registered and who will provice an installation certificate at the end. Long winded, but better to plan this before it is built.
