dear Yvonne. The electrician witch you employ has to be approved contractor or domestic installer.Usually the approved contractors are domestic installers as well.Check them to be registered

Dear Verny, As my collogues posted below , best idea is to post your job on rated people website. Its worth to think about how many electrical points you wish to install or create basic list of items installed as potentially it could allow tradesman to produce estimate before visiting your site. If you wish to employ single electrician you should expect that job will take longer where electrical company may deploy entire team that complete much quicker. Its definitely worth to ask for completion time, ask for written quotation with fixed price and all terms and conditions. Finally it should be registered electrician and you should verify that by contacting his registered professionally body. Regards Marcin
