We had to isolate the lights because its blowing the sockets in the kitchen

hi,the sockets should be on separate curcuits to the lights so that in itself needs looking at,as Micheal stated place a job in your area on rated people and get 1 of the electricians to come out and identify the problem.

The lights are normally on their own circuit totally separate from the sockets. if however your fuseboard has a main rcd trip that covers everything then you will need to find the fault on the lighting circuit. I trust this assists, thankyou, Ian
