More likely electrician as it is probably the motor brushes or module that controls the motor.

Hi Sandra It's not really a job for a plumber or electrician. You need to contact an appliance specialist. A lot of second hand shops that sell white goods also do repair work. Also the manufacturer is an option. They may cost a little more but their diagnosis is a 100% correct. Hope this helps. Sam (eps)
