Spur point

Posted by Paul Ward, on
Is a spur point legally required, when fitting a new oven? I have recently had a new oven, and an induction hob fitted against different walls, with no spur point. What is the legislation?

Hi Alan Your induction hob would have its own circuit due to the load via an isolation switch. Most ovens these days are 3kw or less so can be fed via either a plug of fused spur.It will come with flex and a plug attached if this is the case. Hope this helps Russ
