Hi Brian, Yes you can, but because the run is quite long and you want to spur that socket off a ring it would be a good idea to use a 4mm2 cable or run x2, 2.5mm2 cables and put that outside socket in the ring. The best alternative would be to have that socket on a separate circuit on its own circuit breaker in the fuse board. The outside socket has to be RCD protected and has to be waterproof (IP68).
